Description
Indoor Planting:
- Sow March - May
- Sow seeds thinly 1cm deep in trays of moist compost, be careful not to over water
- When the seedlings are large enough to handle, thin to 6" (15cm) apart
- When the plants are 10-15cm high, transplant outside after all chance of frost has passed
- Leave 18" (45cm) between plants
Outdoor Planting:
- Sow April - June
- Sow seeds 1.5cm deep direct in growing bed in rows 6" (15cm) apart
- Keep the soil moist and be careful not to over water
- When large enough to handle, thin to 18" (45cm) apart
- Pick the leaves when they're young and tender, by removing a few at a time starting at the crown of the plant
- Pick off the yellow leaves and ensure the area is kept weed free
