Outdoor Planting:
Sow seeds 3cm deep direct in growing bed in rows 18" (45cm) apart, leave 3" (8cm) between each seed. Keep the soil moist. The Peas will need support as they grow, netting or canes are ideal
Pea Felthan can be sown October - November for overwintering
Pick the pods regularly to extend the harvest period
Peas prefer a rich, moist soil with plenty of dug in manure. Plant in a sheltered area and protect with cloches from late frosts. Use netting or black cotton for protection against birds

Pea Avola:
An outstanding, compact variety perfect for containers and pots. Height: 60cm (24"). Early maturing variety, producing up to 8 tasty peas per pod. Good for freezing. (Harvest: June - August)
Pea Oregon Sugar Pod;
This variety produces heavy crops of delicious large flat pods, often called mangetout. These sweet, juicy sugar peas are ideal for children. Pick the pods when young and cook whole. (Harvest: June - August)
